Vegetarian restaurant L´Atelier, Mecina Fondales

Dogs are very welcome at the vegetarian restaurant L´Atelier in the Alpujarran village of Mecina. The French owners have their own little Schnauzer Frieda (not the one in the pic, but one very much like it) prancing around and welcome all pooches with their very own bowl of water and will even provide dog food if your mutt is hungry!

What´s more, the food is great! As is the location, a small cobbled street in a typically Alpujarran village.

Owner and chef Jean-Claude serves up vegetarian dishes from across the globe, from Moroccan harira soup to Indian curry. Do leave some room for dessert, because the poppy seed cake is to die for (maybe order two).
