How is the cottage?
The House of the Procurator is an old farmhouse dating from 1887, nineteenth century, was a wedding gift to Don Lorenzo Muñoz Guardiola, by the engineers of the Rail Company, known as "Chicharra", who made the journey between Alcoi and Yecla.
It is a peculiar house because in its construction the rails of the train were used, that is, with the tracks, providing a solid structure and different to the houses in the area.
"La Casa del Procurador" was quite popular as its owner was a well-known character in the region, he became mayor of the city, also founder of the Agricultural Circle and the Villenense, representative entities of the time.
The farm has an extension of 42.000 m2, the house has been restored respecting the original architecture, giving it quite charm, surrounded by two centennial eucalyptus trees, majestic and serene, which give great peace and tranquility.
The old stables have been rehabilitated into five comfortable double rooms, with bathroom. The decoration is dominated by antique and rustic furniture.
Located in the valley of "Laguna Chica", an area that was once a large lake in the foothills of the Castellar mountains.
The "Sierra de Salinas" and "Peñarrubia" are one step away offering a great natural wealth to its visitors.
The old train journey has been enabled to travel on foot or by bicycle. Ideal for walking with your dog.
The house can be rented complete or by rooms.
